Overview:
Each season, minor league baseball teams ignite the excitement with bold new alter ego for one unforgettable night. Fresh logos, daring uniforms, and reimagined mascots transform the ballpark into a whole new experience. This year, Palm Beach is cranking up the heat as the team becomes the Sunburn, a fiery tribute to Florida’s endless summers, sizzling beaches, and that all-too-familiar “uh-oh red.” Expect a night of blazing energy, bold colors, and baseball that burns bright long after the sun goes down.

MERCHANDISE

For the Palm Beach Sunburn alter ego, I designed a promotional night that partners with local brands to tie directly into the team’s playful yet relevant identity. The concept brings in Florida-based companies to collaborate on exclusive products like sunscreen and beer, reinforcing the “sunburn” theme while creating unique fan experiences. To resonate with the older demographic that often attends games with visiting families, the stadium hosts local businesses focused on anti-aging, sunless tanning, and cancer prevention, offering live demonstrations, machines, and services for fans to explore. This approach not only highlights the Florida sun in a fun and memorable way, but also strengthens community connections by giving local companies a platform to share their services and expand their reach.

“Burn or No Burn Contest” – Between innings, a fun fan competition where contestants guess if a photo of a Florida beachgoer is sunburned or not, with small prizes tied to local businesses.
